Place butter or margarine in large bowl and mix with an electric mixer. Mix until well blended and creamy. Add milk, bananas, eggs and vanilla. Mix until blended. In a separate bowl, combine flour, salt and soda. Stir to combine all dry ingredients and add to butter mixture. Mix until just blended. Stir in chocolate chips and pour into loaf pan which has been sprayed with a nonstick vegetable spray. Bake in preheated 350° oven for 60 minutes or until tester inserted in the center comes out clean. Cool in pan.
