Cut cabbage and onions into chunks; put in large pot with 1/2 cup water. Add salt, pepper and tomatoes. Cook, stirring often, until cabbage is soft. Cut bacon into tiny squares; fry until crispy. Drain about 1/3 of bacon grease; add flour to grease. Fry until flour is brown. Make sure cabbage is soft. Add vinegar; mix well. Take about 1 1/2 cups juice from cabbage; add to bacon. Cook bacon mixture until thick; add to cabbage. Add vinegar to taste.
